Here at The Testing Lab PLC, we have many years of experience as asbestos consultants. The Duty to Manage (Regulation 4, CAR 2012) makes building owners, occupiers and managers responsible for the management of asbestos within the built environment.
This law was first introduced in 2002 as part of the Control of Asbestos at Work regulations and, after a lead-in period of 18 months, became enforceable in May 2004. More recently, the “At Work” wording was removed and the Control of Asbestos Regulations were consolidated into what is more commonly known as CAR 2012.
CAR 2012 is made up of a number of individual regulations, with Regulation 4 setting out the Duty to Manage asbestos. At TTL, our consultants work alongside clients to help ensure compliance requirements are met both economically and safely.
